Update
Food for Sabah Remote Communities and Exploring opportunities for Skill Training
June 2024
*********
KYCO-CSP wish to express our deep gratitude to you for your kind contribution that has helped us to spread some cheers to remote villages in Sabah with rice and cooked food
We wish to continue these Compassionate Food Aid for these poor Villagers who live on the remote fringes of sea and land that are cut off from towns. Many of these Villagers are orphans, and widows, some are sick and aged who are struggling to feed their families due to their unfortunate circumstances. Some are vulnerable Stateless people, with no Identity Cards, legal papers like birth certs and infact unaware they need proper marriage papers.
As such they have little education, unemployed, no access to medical services & government financial help
And they continue to live their lives like their forefathers, poor, uneducated, jobless . It is an "endless cycle".
KYCO-CSP has planned to continue to provide basic necessities like rice and cooked food, which will be personally arranged by Friends of CSP there.
In addition CSP will also explore Skill Training opportunities with a plan to arrange for shelters or tents to enable Skill Training to be carried out for the older children and young adults so they can earn a living to feed their families. A committee of Sabahans appealed to CSP to co- work to uplift the lives of these fellow humans who are journeying with us on earth.
A CSP Member together with our Friends of CSP will be in Sabah to further understand their needs and to look into opportunities and possibilities. And while there, they hope to be able to distribute some rice and cooked food for the children and families.
We are hoping for your continued kindness to help these poor Villagers, to give them some cheers & hope for a better future for them to break out of the cycle of hopelessness and poverty.
We welcome your kind contribution of any amounts.
