Activity Report
On 14 June 2026, the KYCO CSP Safety & Hygiene Project – A Collaborative Effort with Pusat Jagaan Bukit Beruntung was successfully carried out with the participation of generous sponsors, CSP seniors and juniors, mentors, friends of CSP, and youths from Pusat Jagaan Bukit Beruntung.
A total of 19 participants, comprising 9 CSP senior students and 10 junior students, took part in the programme. The activities were carefully coordinated to improve the safety, hygiene, and living environment of the home while promoting teamwork, responsibility, and community service among the participants.
The programme included repainting and reorganising the kitchen store, as well as assembling and arranging bed frames, lockers, and kitchen racks. In addition, a Mandarin language class was conducted for the children to promote learning and interaction between the volunteers and residents.
A total of 9 students from the Bukit Beruntung Home participated in the Mandarin class. Most of the students were able to understand and actively engage in the lessons conducted today. The session provided a meaningful learning experience, encouraged the students to communicate confidently in Mandarin, and offered them a valuable opportunity to learn a second language and develop their communication skills.
Simultaneously, 3 other teams led by CSP senior students and also comprising junior students, CSP mentor teachers, and Pusat Jagaan Bukit Beruntung youths, students and management assembled and installed 9 heavy duty double decker bed frames, 16 powder coated steel 2 tier-door lockers, 1 boltless durable kitchen rack and painted and reorganised the kitchen store all within about 2.5 hours. The mixed team worked and interacted well together.
Throughout the programme, the progress of all activities was closely monitored to ensure that each team worked efficiently and completed their assigned tasks successfully. Photography and videography were also carried out to document the day's activities and preserve meaningful memories of the project.
The programme was completed smoothly and successfully, demonstrating strong cooperation and commitment from all volunteers. It not only enhanced the facilities and living environment of Pusat Jagaan Bukit Beruntung but also strengthened the spirit of teamwork, compassion, and social responsibility among the participants.
