Upcoming Senior Students Educational Visit to Care Home 2, Kajang

KYCO-CSP Education Assistance Program has also planned an upcoming Educational Visit to another Care Home. This time is for the Senior Students, giving them a valuable opportunity to learn more about the hard reality of life of another segment of society.
Unlike the first Care Home, this Home houses about 170-180 Residents who are mentally less able, some are slow learners, and some needed to be confined due to their vulnerability and possible risk to themselves.
They are placed in this Care Home as their family members could not manage their mental issues on their own and have to make a difficult decision for these loved ones to be placed in the Home. Many of their family members are working, and struggle to look after them on a long term and on their small income and could not afford to hire a helper.
As such, instead of neglecting and abandoning these loved ones which we have often seen amongst the people on the street that KYCO-CSP also regularly feed, the family members chose to support them by putting them in this clean and basic facility and paying a few hundred up to Rm 1K+ monthly.
The Care Home warmly welcomes Visitors and we found it to be quite well managed, though simple set up, but is deemed suitable for an Educational Exposure for Senior Students.
KYCO-CSP has in recent months twice provided a bit of cooked food to the Home.
This time CSP has planned to bring the Senior Students who will also bring cooked food, cakes and fruits, and to learn to be present for others who are also living an unfortunate difficult life, to give a bit of cheer and attention that will lift the spirits of these lonely Residents.
