Planning meeting and updates on students under CSP Education Assistance

Today we had a meeting at Tadika and they are working out:

1) plan for the last few months of the year

2) Activities to include exposing students to visit urban poor families around Setapak.

3) Rewards trips to Aquaria, Science Centre, PetroSain...(  sponsors for students eg. 4 or 5 more deserving students are most welcome)

3) from the members'  feedback, I will speak to their parents should we terminate any student in the program ( after the end of the year review)

4) etc

QN - Convocation/ Completed her Diploma in Accounting

QN who is under the Education Assistance Program of KYCO -CSP,  completed her Diploma in Accounting and continue  on now  in her first of 3 years in Degree in Accountancy at a local University in Setapak. She is one of the older students who has been sponsored  by Sifu, Simoh , all the kind hearted uncles, aunties , friends of KYCO -CSP for the last 7+  years. Your contributions facilitated her tuition fees, which enable her to complete form 5 and she was  sponsored by Kuok foundation for her tuition fee in Diploma.

Message from QN:

Appreciate from heartfelt🫶🏻🥹 first of all, I really appreciate it that having the opportunity to further my tertiary education with less difficult because of aunties and uncles' helps and today I have graduated from diploma 🎓 and currently I have continuing my studies and I'll try my best and work hard on it!

Sincerely appreciate from QN

Om Mani Padme Hum 🙏

But your kindness in contributing to her living expenses provided a relatively 'peace' of mind to pursue her Diploma. Thank you all  for your continuing support of this program that gives seemingly non ' elite nor stellar' children from dysfunctional background a chance for a better opportunity in life. Thank you very much.

We have a new student XR, who wish to join the younger students in their activities and learn  to read English, ie. the Saturday Mentoring program. She is in Primary 5. It's not common for children from the community around that location, and I was surprised she told us she wants to learn to  speak English.

This is the new girl...wow the team has put her to test, on her first day...... doing her part on cleaning after class. Bringing our  team's afternoon journey on reaching out to help those who come our way to those in this chat group and  who may like to see how some of the members play their role in CSP in reaching out. It's also very much our  team's learning to give help, care and  encouragement to "grow" the students who are living  in environment that are far far far far ..... from ideal in  bringing up children.

Today we assessed XR. It's her first time meeting us. The mother dropped her off and gone back to work. We got her to read books for us to understand her ability in reading.

Standard 5 this year. Recognise and can read common words like,- is, the, of, and, she, is, that's about it. She is the same age as QY, the small girl , who is JH's sister. QY too cannot read,  about a 9 months ago. Today she is able to read though she is not of good academic caliber..more a skill training type. We asked QY to read for us to encourage XR. Ie we hope in a few months she will improve too, with QY as an example. This is QY, the small frail girl who can hardly speak a word of English then.
