From Gratitude to Growth: My Journey Beyond Graduation

From Gratitude to Growth: My Journey Beyond Graduation

A letter from Queenie ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ—๏ธ:

To Sifu, Simoh, KYCO, and friends of CSP,

I'm Queenie, one of the CSP students. I have just completed my degree this June. Although I have said thank you many times before, ย YET I do not think, I have said enough. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude once again to everyone who has supported me and my family, whether financially or non-financially, from the most difficult period of our lives until today.

Because of everyone's help, care, guidance, and encouragement, I was able to go through many important stages in life, from SPM to Diploma and now Degree. I am now entering the next stage of my life. After receiving some guidance and ideas from Aunty KC, I have also spent some time reflecting on these questions.

1. Embarking out to worldly material life
What I have been learning and constantly reminding myself is to continue improving myself and doing my best, so that I will have the ability to support my family and provide my mother and siblings with a better quality of life. It is not about having luxurious things, expensive clothes, delicious food, a big house, or travelling everywhere.ย

I simply hope that my family, especially my mother, can enjoy enough ย both material comfort and spiritual well-being. Through my own efforts, I hope that one day we will no longer need to worry so much about financial matters for them.

2. Filial piety and gratitude to my mother and family
When I think about filial piety, the words that come to mind are appreciation and love. My parents gave me life and allowed me to experience and understand this world. Before I joined KYCO, my parents always tried their best to provide my siblings and me with the best education they could afford because my mother believed that education could change our lives and give us the knowledge and wisdom to face the world.

After my father passed away, my mother sought help from KYCO so that we could continue our studies. Looking back now, I can truly say that joining KYCO has changed my life. Besides receiving educational support, I have also learned many things that school never taught me. For example, I only started participating in meaningful charity work after joining KYCO- it makes me understand a little of why Kuan Yin is to the Chinese " Goddess of Mercy"- she teaches us to be merciful and meaning forgiving.

Over these ten years, I can feel that I have changed a lot. Although there were challenges along the way, with the guidance of Aunty KC and many others, I managed to overcome them. Therefore, I hope that I can take good care of my family's daily needs, listen to them, respect their choices, and also take good care of myself so that they will not worry about me.

3. Thought of future relationship with KY Mother
As I grow older, I hope that I can continue listening to the teachings in KYCO and put them into practice in my daily life. The teachings and the Basic 18 Virtues have already provided me with many values to guide my life. Through the care and love shown by the aunties and uncles in KYCO, I have learned kindness, compassion, and gratitude.

From the KYCO chart, I learned the importance of pray, sit, give, care, and serve. I have received so much from everyone, and I hope that in the future, with whatever little strength I have, I can contribute and help others, whether financially or non-financially. I believe this is one way of putting into practice the spirit of "serving" society and "giving" back to others.

4. Further wishes to learn new activities

There is a saying, "Live and learn." I believe learning should never stop. As long as something can help me become a better person or improve my daily life and career, I am willing to learn. I hope to continue learning new knowledge and skills so that I can become more efficient and better equipped to face future challenges.

Once again, I would like to sincerely thank Sifu, Simoh, KYCO, and all friends of CSP. Thank you for accompanying me and my family throughout these years. Without everyone's care and support, I would not be where I am today. I hope that in the future, I will also be able to pass on the kindness and love that I have received to others.

Thank you very much. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธ
