Workshop on Basic Cooking Skills As Part of Living Skills - Day 1

As Part of the CSP Education Program, a 3 - 4 Days Workshop on BASIC COOKING SKILLS AS PART OF LIVING SKILLS has been organised for the KYCO CSP Junior Students.

The Workshop will be held on 3-4 separate days running into the School Holidays. The 1st Day of the Workshop was held on Sunday, 5th January 2025.

Objectives:

1)    Part Of Their Development In Living Skills

2)    To Acquire Some Hands On Cooking Skills, Sufficient To Prepare A Meal At Home On Their Own

3)    To Gain An Appreciation To Observe Basic Hygiene In Food Preparation & Safety Discipline & Responsibility in Working in A Kitchen

4)    To Stir Any Interest Some May Have To Take Up Cooking Or Culinary Skills As A Career

5)    To have fun in preparing & serving food


PROGRAM DETAILS

1)    Health & Safety In The Kitchen & In Food Preparation

2)    Introduction To Basic Kitchen Equipment & Their Uses

3)    Basic Ingredients & Sourcing

4)    Serving Foods & Basic Dining Etiquette

5)    Basic Cooking Skills (Try Out in Practice)

6)    Recipes, Food Demo & Hands On Practice: Chinese Food, Pasta, Baking
