Spreading DEEPAVALI Light and Love with The Less Fortunate Families and Shelter Homes

UPDATE:
KYCO-CSP WELFARE AID & Cooked FOOD DISTRIBUTION - Spreading DEEPAVALI Light and Love with The Less Fortunate Families and Shelter Homes
Oct 2025

In conjunction with  Deepavali, the Blessed Festival of Lights, a day that celebrate Light over Darkness, Good over Evil, the KYCO-CSP Volunteer Members and Friends take this golden opportunity to spread a bit of love and joy with the downtrodden among us - the Poor Indian families and the needy Shelter Homes in outskirts of Selangor

Our heartfelt and grateful thanks always for the kind generosity of  KYCO-CSP, and many kind donors & sponsors who continue to give with compassion, some Team members and friends could share a little festive joy, warmth and caring love by distributing the much needed provisions, festive treats & gifts, including cooked food to different sections of the Indian Community, as below:

1 .Lembah Subang Poor Indian Families

The Lembah Subang Team made a visit to the 5 families whom we have been supporting with food and provisions.
For a few of these families struggling daily survival, except for the muruku, Deepavali is just another dreary day for them in their difficult lives
To lift their spirit, we have
brought some festive goodies, donated clothings, bedsheets, and shoes given by kind donors. These gifts were on top of the essential provisions to help keep these families going

We are happy to inform that one of the earlier families whom we helped had left the community after winning a lottery windfall

On behalf of the 5  families we thank you and Gan Ern.
🙏🙏🙏
From the Team: Helen Ng, Kim Teh, Gary Lo & Yem

2.Two Shelter Homes in Sungai Choh, Rawang

These 2 Shelter Homes are having hard times feeding the residents, comprising old and young, some are ill or mentally ill, some are physically challenged including the blind as well. Sadly, most of them have been abandoned by families  who could no longer care for them.
And on this Deepavali Day, they would be spending another lonely day with few visitors

The Caretaker of one Home had requested for help as he himself has also fallen into difficulty with his leg infected, swollen and seeking a cure

On behalf of KYCO-CSP, KC Chu and a few Friends of CSP have brought food items including potatoes, onions, dhall, beans, spices etc for cooking a Deepavali treat for the elderly and orphans. Other provisions were also provided: medicated oils, diapers, biscuits in tins etc
Some children too received a small token Deepavali Angpow

Our heartfelt thanks to the great help of KC and Friends of CSP, we sincerely hope that these residents could get a taste of the Diwali festive cheer and warmth of the caring love , knowing that they have not been forgotten

3.Diwali Celebration in a low income PPR Community

To spread the Deepavali Festive Cheer further, KYCO-CSP has provided a Diwali Makan-Makan Treat for the poor and lonely Indian folks living in the PPR Flats in the fringes of KL.
On our behalf, KC Chu and Friends of CSP have provided a lovely cooked Diwali  meal of curry and festive dishes to uplift the spirit of the many Indian families who were left behind, could not go away as they are having difficulties, either financially strapped, unwell, with physical or mental issues etc
On this Festive Day, other Malays and Chinese neighbours were also invited to share the joy of their celebration

Thanks to you, KYCO-CSP is immensely thankful for this precious opportunity to spread a bit of love on this Festive Day of Light
May the Light of Divine  continue to bless these downtrodden families with a better life, freeing them from financial hardships due to low education, vulnerable home backgrounds with single parents, breadwinners  and members who are physically & mentally ill and unable to hold a steady job, thus needing help to feed their families

Grateful thanks again to KYCO-CSP, all kind Donors and Sponsors for your continued support and loving care
